The mythril plating on the chest piece has survived every dice roll my DM has thrown at me so far. I've been running a tank build for months and this is the first set where the armor actually feels as sturdy as the stat block claims.
The seven pieces cover just about everything you'd need for a full set, and the plated finish holds up well after a few sessions of heavy handling. One of the smaller pieces had a slightly rough edge out of the box, but nothing a quick touch-up couldn't fix.
