Compare the Elessia Kybr Inquisitor with Red and Passion with Black 7pc RPG sets on swirl color, ink, and price, and learn which character or table each suits.
Quick answer
Choose the Elessia Kybr Inquisitor with Red if you want a red-and-black swirl set inked in red for a darker, more aggressive character look. Choose the Elessia Kybr Passion with Black if you prefer shimmery gray swirls inked in black and want to save a little at the catalog price. Both are 7pc RPG sets in the Avalore style with softer, rounded edges.
What actually separates these two Kybr sets
The main difference is the swirl color and the ink color. The Inquisitor set uses red and black swirls inked in red. The Passion set uses shimmery gray swirls inked in black. That changes how the numbers read on the table and what mood the dice carry.
Both sets share the same Avalore design and premium sizing, so the hand feel and rounded edges should be consistent between them. The choice comes down to color contrast and character fit, not shape.
Red ink versus black ink at the table
Red ink on red and black swirls can blend into the darker parts of the die, especially under warm or dim light. Black ink on gray swirls usually gives a cleaner, more neutral contrast. If you play in low light or read dice from across the table, the Passion set is the safer pick for legibility.
The Inquisitor set's red-on-red look is more dramatic, but it may require you to pick up the die or tilt it toward the light to read a result quickly. That is a real trade-off, not a flaw.
Price and catalog comparison
At the catalog prices shown, the Inquisitor with Red is USD 8.01 against a comparison price of USD 11.95, and the Passion with Black is USD 8.96 against the same USD 11.95 comparison. Both sit well below the comparison price, but the Inquisitor set is the lower-priced option by a small margin.
Prices can change, so check the current listing before you decide. If the difference is only a few cents, choose by color and legibility rather than by price alone.
Trade-offs to weigh before you buy
- Mood versus legibility: The Inquisitor with Red gives a dramatic red-and-black look, but red ink on red swirls can be harder to read in dim light. The Passion with Black gives a calmer gray-and-black look with clearer contrast. If quick reading matters more than drama, pick Passion with Black.
- Character fit: The Inquisitor set is tied to the Scythe Order's Inquisitors, agents of dark chaotic magic. The Passion set is tied to the Path of Passion, followers of Chaos who reject established ways. Match the set to the character's allegiance, not just the color.
- Price check: The Inquisitor with Red is cataloged at USD 8.01 and the Passion with Black at USD 8.96, both against a USD 11.95 comparison price. Confirm the live price before checkout, since the gap is small. Do not let a few cents override the color and legibility choice.
