Quick answer
Choose Dark Iron Hexbreaker for a mysterious, obsidian ritualist vibe, or Bloodbane Hexbreaker for a fierce, battle-scarred sorcerer theme. Both are heavy metal dice sets with arcane engravings.
Why the finish matters for your character
The Dark Iron Hexbreaker evokes an obsidian altar and cryptic sigils, perfect for a character who draws power from ancient, forbidden knowledge. The Bloodbane Hexbreaker suggests a more aggressive, blood-soaked magic, ideal for a character who wields curses or sacrifices.
Both sets share the same temple-ruin aesthetic and heavy metal feel, but the color and name shift the story your dice tell at the table.
Weight and handling
As part of the Hexbreaker Metal Set, both Dark Iron and Bloodbane are substantial metal dice. Their weight adds a satisfying heft to every roll, but they require a dice tray or soft surface to protect your table and the dice themselves.
